I like the concept of wallpaper as an option for wall finishes. I find the idea of having a colorful and textured wall dressing, other than paint, quite fascinating. So, I totally identify with the stories of how wallpaper have recently rolled back into fashion in a big way.

Designers continue to reinvent and create fashionable wallpapers with rich textures and colors that overflow from floor to ceiling. Its versatility makes it a design element that can be used for accent walls or for decorating all four walls to make a bold statement in a space. Trends in wallpaper designs come and go, but there are so many options to choose from and many top designers now view wallpaper as a game changer.

If you are looking to infuse texture into your interiors, wallpaper is a great option. It is also a perfect way to create a “wow effect” in a space, for example, the TV wall area. The TV wall is actually one of my favorite ways to design with wallpaper in the home.

The following are some time tested, top picks, as well as some of the chicest new options out there. For every category of wallpaper shared below, you can view and choose from a wider array of options when you visit our online store at your convenience.

  1. Industrial Texture Wallpaper

Industrial style is a key aesthetic  trend which combines distressed metal, weathered wood, concrete and factory-style lighting fixtures. This copper-grey wallpaper (top-right) with a weathered texture and fading muted colors perfectly encapsulates the industrial style. Pair this with contemporary furniture or vintage pieces to give your room that desirable loft ambience.

2. Graphic and Geometric Prints

Geometric wallpapers have grown hugely in popularity in recent years and will continue to do so in 2021. If you are not sure where to start when shopping for geometric prints, look for bold color patterns on a neutral or white background.

This innovative geometric design (top-right) features an intersection of triangles and diamonds beautiful for use in hallways or lobbies where you want to make a bold statement.

3. Monochrome

Black and white wallpaper combinations will probably never go out of style. They are classics of minimalism. Sometimes, there is nothing more beautiful than the simplicity of striped wallpapers.

The rich vertical texture (bottom-right) is perfect as a stand-alone on any wall surface giving it the most luxurious feel.

4. Metallic and Glitz

Metallic inks paired with a unique emboss give the look of thousands of tiny pearls. Just like fashion , this trend adds a little bit of glamour with a lightly distressed silk fabric texture and Mylar foil for a luxurious metallic shimmer.

Designed for fun lovers and party rockers, it is a perfect way to add metallic décor into your space.

5. Flocking Wallpapers.

Finally, flocking wallpapers are a new concept in interior design, a classic style of wallcoverings reinterpreted for the 21st century. The flocking technology gives a rich, velvet, 3D-feel to patterns and motifs and creates plasticity.
